
The Anderson Island Amateur Radio Club (AIARC) is located on Anderson Island, WA., fourteen miles southwest of Tacoma. Our membership ranges from newly licensed to widely experienced amateur radio operators and other community members interested in amateur radio. The clubs mission is to assist and support members of our community that are interested in obtaining their license and provide operating and learning opportunities through various events and club projects.

- February 4 AIARC Net
The club’s 444.2 repeater is offline this week. Because of this, our Wednesday net will begin on the 147.3 repeater and then move directly to Simplex. All are welcome to check in to test your radios. - Island Repeater is Still Down
Ev (KF7VX) has been working hard to troubleshoot the electronics and find/order parts for our ancient repeater. We all appreciate his unique skills to necessitate repairs. For this week, at least, the 444.2 repeater will not be a part of the AIARC Wednesday net. The net will begin on the 2m repeater. Good progress has been made on the GMRS repeater located at the Matthews Way water tower location. The repeater unit has been installed and is in the process of being tested. The antenna and mounting hardware have been purchased. We are waiting on the weather and a time when the Fire Dept will be able to install the antenna.
